Blackrock Caste is an early nineteenth century listed structure, a landmark building for ships entering the Cork City Port. When Cork City Council acquired the building in 2004 they commissioned a design team to restore it to its former glory. JODA acted as structural engineers and building services engineers on a project that included reconstruction of the main tower, underpinning of walls that predated the castle, structural repairs to limestone, complete internal refurbishment, underfloor heating, weathering and the construction of extensions.
