Cluid development Bandon comprises of 44 apartments, landlord areas and 2 office blocks. JODA were responsible for the Mechanical and Electrical design, incorporating a Biomass wood pellet boiler (300kW) and fuel store, to feed the LPHW heating system and hot water system throughout the building. The heating controls are via an intelligent pay-metering system, with each unit having individual control. The building uses passive ventilation design to reduce overall running costs. The building has a neutral CO2 rating. The lighting comprised of T5 technology which reduces the overall lighting running and maintenance costs. The building has two bed lifts which use variable frequency variable voltage drives to minimise energy usage.
