Tralee Fire Station consisted of a refurbishment and extension of the existing building.  The building consisted of an 8 bay appliance bay, muster area, office block, control room, training area and maintenance workshops. JODA were responsible for the Mechanical and Electrical design, incorporating a complete Green Design, comprising of Biomass wood pellet boiler (150kW) and fuel store, to feed the LPHW heating system, solar panels to feed the hot water system.  The lighting comprised of T5 technology which reduces the overall lighting running and maintenance costs.  The building management system monitors and controls system design to incorporate an overall optimised solution for energy efficient usage.
