A new 4,500m2 secondary school consisting mainly of single storey construction. The project included new classrooms, science rooms, administration areas, PE Hall, general purpose room and music room and associated ancillary accommodation. External facilities included synthetic hockey pitch, and tennis courts. One of the main construction issues on the project was the variable ground encountered, for example, from soft ground down to 2.5m, with the potential for swallow holes, to limestone rock at high level. Other complications included a circular general purpose room with a truncated roof and a music room in the shape of a grand piano.
