CUH Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Ward

Project carried out over a live hospital environment during a 9 month period with no disruption to services.

The Cystic Fibrosis Project at Cork University Hospital involved the total strip-out of an existing ward and the provision of eight designated single rooms for CF Patients, and three 4-bed rooms to cater for patients with chronic respiratory conditions. Administration rooms for staff were also provided.

The project was carried out over a live hospital environment during a nine month period with no disruption to services. The construction costs amounted to 2.3 million euro and included services such as medical gases, chilled water, heating, air handling ,air conditioning, Patient entertainment systems, Nurse Call systems, UPS systems, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems and bedhead trunking systems.
